Well, this is your chance ❤️
In the real world, we can't always pick our co-workers or our bosses, but in the virtual world that's come together from podcast to social media to blogs to YouTube, we can all find each other here!
Choose your summer project goal. Want to batch out your close reading passages for Frankenstein? Want to write all of your Sesame Street quizzes for Macbeth? Want to outline your unit plan for your dystopia lit circle? You decide on your ONE, doable summer project.
Next, choose your session! Each session is three weeks long and spread across each of the summer months to accomodate the various teacher breaks across the world. You can sign up for one, two, or all three!
During each of our coaching sessions, we'll tackle our projects in a variety of asynchronus ways. There's no need to commit to any live events -- we're competely flexible in how we will share, grow, and build community!
Ople is the newest teacher-centered short-form video platform. Think: Instagram for teachers ONLY. We'll have our own private space to chat, collaborate, and share our work with each other!
Take turns book talking and sharing favorite books with each other as we build lists for choice novel units and restock our classroom libraries. We can't wait to hear your recs ❤️
Teachers can submit their in-progress works to our portal for feedback and suggestions from fellow group members. Amanda records her feedback on Loom for you to hear the thought process!
Any Lesson Plan Rescue assignments submitted will have Loom walkthrough recordings from Amanda. The full Loom Library will be accessible to everyone for 90 days!
Amanda will introduce teachers to a variety of new or underutilized texts (short stories, poems, excerpts from novels). In the group, they can "taste" the texts, discuss their potential for classroom use, and brainstorm ways to hook students.
At the end of each session, teachers will present their summer projects for final feedback and hi-fives from the small group. It's an informal but special way to wrap up the coaching work together and reflect on your growth and final product!
So...
The time is NOW!
You're the kind of teacher that yes, needs to take a break, but also doesn't want to fully unplug every teaching muscle.
Keeping one thread connected will help you get ahead of the stress of the school year, and doing this project with a community of like-minded teachers is just what you need.
You have goals this summer: relax, unwind, and tackle ONE curricular project that will help you continue that feeling of balance well into next school year.
We have plenty of options to meet you where you are!
